Critical Illness Insurance

Critical illness insurance is a form of protection that can provide you with a lump sum payment if you suffer from a covered critical illness and the survival period is satisfied. The physical and emotional strain of a critical illness can be severe and when you combine that with the potentially damaging financial impact, the result can be devastating.

That’s where the critical illness benefit comes in—you are free to spend the money as you wish—such as to help cover lost income, to pay for private nursing or out-of-country treatment, for medical equipment or even to pay off your mortgage. It can help you where you need it most so you can focus all your energy on recovering.

A critical illness can happen to anyone:

  • It is estimated there are over 70,000 heart attacks in Canada each year.
  • There are between 40,000 and 50,000 strokes in Canada each year.
  • An estimated 3,075 Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer every week.

Different Plans

There are different  plans for critical illness, ranging from 10 year and 20 year renewable and convertible plans to level to age 75 or 100 plans. All our plans offer a comprehensive number of covered conditions and some unique value-added services.

Living Benefit 10 and 20

These plans offer level coverage to age 75 with premiums changing every 10 or 20 years. Your clients can convert to level premiums at any time before age 60. Both plans allow for a Return of Premium on a Death rider.

Living Benefit 75 and 100

These plans offer level coverage to either age 75 or Age 100, and premiums guaranteed never to increase. Each allows for Return of Premium options, both at time of death and if your clients decide to discontinue their coverage. The Living Benefit 100 plan is also available on a quick-pay basis.

Health and Dental Insurance

As Canadians, we’re fortunate to have one of the best healthcare systems in the world—but that doesn’t mean your provincial government provides you with all the healthcare coverage you need.

As provincial governments cut back their levels of healthcare coverage, you may be left to pay for expenses such as:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Visits to the dentist
  • Eye exams
  • Paramedical services
  • Transportation by ambulance

Depending on your drug, dental, and supplementary health needs (such as vision care, chiropractic care or emergency travel medical), you simply choose the plan that suits you best.
No Medical Insurance

That’s right, no medical exams and needles, no medical report. If you are aged 20 to 80, just answer a few simple questions, even if you’ve been turned down before, you’re hard to insure, you smoke, you’re overweight, or you don’t want to go through a medical exam

Why should you consider a No Medical Insurance Plan?

  • You’ve been turned down for insurance before
  • You’re hard to insure
  • You’re overweight
  • You smoke
  • You have high blood pressure
  • You don’t like needles or medical exams

(Insurance products are provided through multiple insurance carriers.)
